Possum albums of the year.

This year has already been nuts. A slew of bands that haven't done much for awhile are all releasing something this year. And its going to be hard to keep up. Its very difficult to say which ones i'm looking forward to the most, as i love all artists in an equal way. I just hope more than anything that i won't have too many dissapointments... So far, There have been two NIN albums released this year, one double disc set, Ghosts I-IV and then earlier this week, THE SLIP. While i can't say that t… Continue

Ryan Settee Classic Albums: Slint, "Spiderland"

Slint "Spiderland", Touch and Go Records, Released in 1991, review by Ryan Settee

I sort of was wondering if I should have a sub-category titled "modern day classics", but then I thought, "well, what qualifies as a 'modern day classic'? Five years? Ten years… Continue

Ryan Settee Classic Albums:The Brilliance Of Spiritualized's "Ladies And Gentlemen, We Are Floating In Space"

Spiritualized, "Ladies And Gentlemen, We Are Floating In Space", Arista/ BMG Records, Released in 1997, by Ryan Settee

I love albums that are titled well, as a mission statement. T-Rex's "Electric Warrior", with Marc standing in front of a stack of amps.… Continue

Ryan Settee The reason that I formed Cosmic Electricity--and welcome!

First of all, i'd like to thank people for checking this place out. I created this social network, because I noticed a lack of places online that were specifically dedicated to the wide variety of genres of modern psychedelia: fuzz rock, drone, doom, experimental, ambient, stoner, shoegaze and so on. I've found that some places have a good emphasis on some of these types of music, but going through alot of those places became a bit difficult to really narrow down a modern psychedelic thin… Continue
